Pregnancy Yoga: A 12-Week Course of
movement that listens to your pregnant body
A calm, intelligent approach to pregnancy yoga in Oldenburg
This 12-week pregnancy yoga course is a warm, steady space to feel more at ease in your changing body, to prepare for birth without overwhelm, and to develop a reliable sense of inner quietness during a time that often feels fast, tender, and full.
The classes weave together pregnancy-safe movement, grounding breathwork, deep rest, birth preparation, supportive conversation, and the Scaravelli-inspired approach—where movement begins from softness, not effort.
Groups are small, held in a private home studio near the Kanalstraße, in a newly renovated, peaceful space designed for intimate pregnancy circles. The intention is simple: a place where you can exhale, feel supported, and learn gently, week by week.

Many pregnancy yoga classes offer gentle stretching. Many childbirth courses offer information. Here, you receive both—integrated.
This course is shaped by the YogaBirth method, a specialist approach to pregnancy yoga and childbirth preparation created by midwives, childbirth educators, and senior Scaravelli-inspired teachers. It brings together:
pregnancy-safe yoga that supports the spine, pelvis, diaphragm, and breath
emotional steadiness during pregnancy
a clear understanding of how birth physiology actually works
weekly themes connecting movement, breath, and labour preparation
circles that offer community rather than performance
It is warm, intelligent, grounded, and never rushed.
It is yoga, birth preparation, and embodied education—all softened into one continuous experience.

What you will experience week by week
Each class follows a steady rhythm:
A short settling and check-in
Pregnancy-safe movement that supports ease in the pelvis, back, and diaphragm
Scaravelli-inspired work with gravity, breath, and internal spaciousness
Birth-relevant positions explored quietly and repeatedly
Deep rest and grounding practices
Occasional conversations about pregnancy, emotions, and birth choices
No previous yoga experience is needed.
Everything is offered slowly, with softness, and with options for every body.
A practice that listens to your body
This course draws strongly from the Scaravelli-inspired approach.
You will not be pushed, corrected into shapes, or asked to “perform” yoga.
Instead, you learn how to:
soften the jaw, eyes, and pelvic floor
feel gravity as support rather than weight
allow the spine to lengthen from within
breathe downward and settle
move from ease rather than effort
awaken natural rhythm instead of forcing technique
It is a practice that helps you trust your pregnant body—not conceptually, but physically.
For many women, this becomes one of the rare weekly moments where the mind quiets down and the body feels deeply at home again.
In many traditional Geburtsvorbereitung courses, birth positions are taught in a single workshop or weekend. This can be helpful—but it often means women must remember techniques they only encountered once.
Here, birth-related movements are introduced gently, quietly, and repeatedly over 12 weeks.
The benefit:
Your body begins to recognise these movements as familiar places, not tasks.
During labour, you are not thinking “What was that position we learned?”
Instead, your body returns to what it knows—naturally.
This slow, steady repetition is the heart of the YogaBirth method.
It helps women feel more confident, grounded, and able to respond intuitively to the sensations of birth.
Birth preparation that becomes instinctive — not memorised
Short conversations that make a difference
At the end of some classes, we spend 10 minutes on topics that many pregnant women wish someone had explained clearly and calmly:
birth physiology
breathing for labour
epidurals and medical pain relief
induction
home birth & water birth
positions for the stages of labour
understanding interventions
optimal fetal positioning
gentle postpartum expectations
These conversations are not medical advice.
They are clear, neutral, digestible explanations that help you ask better questions to your doctor or midwife and understand your options without overwhelm.
You will also receive resources from international midwives, podcasts, and trusted birth education sources.
We begin by settling, breathing, checking in.
Some days women share openly, some days the room stays quiet.
Both are welcome.
There is always tea before and after class for anyone who wants to stay a little longer.
Pregnancy can feel isolating—these evenings create a gentle rhythm of connection.
Later in the course, women who have recently given birth may join us to share their birth story.
This is never dramatic—just honest, grounded, supportive.
A simple moment of community wisdom.
A warm space for pregnancy circles
